Modhouse homes are built on a modular system. They can be configured in any arrangement, size or site. Our homes can be built onsite or offsite to create a prefabricated modular home.
What is prefabricated housing?
Prefabrication involves the selection of single or multiple room modules of your choice. These rooms or modules are built in factory conditions to a template then delivered and assembled on your block of land. Our modules provide both single and double storey options.
Why would I consider prefabricated housing?
There are many benefits to prefabricated housing including:
- Faster build time
- Superior build quality
- Minimised material wastage
- Simplicity and flexibility
- Convenience for busy people – with minimal site disturbance during construction
Is prefabricated housing sustainable?
All Modhouse homes – including our prefabricated modules – are built using sustainable design principles. In designing our homes we consider the following impacts:
- Environmental – reducing waste, water and energy
- Social – healthier, more comfortable home
- Economical – ongoing cost savings on utility bills
How long does it take to build a prefabricated home?
Length of build for a prefabricated home depends on the size and complexity of the project, but a single module could be constructed in 18 weeks.
What do the modules look like?
We have a range of standard modules that include 1, 2 or 3 bedroom homes, modular series A and B and a single studio module. You can select single or double storey options. View our house plans:
Where are the prefabricated homes constructed?
Modhouse has factories in metropolitan Melbourne and Gippsland, Victoria. Modules are constructed at these premises and transported to your block.
